Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming school year, supporting students in a dynamic educational environment near Salem, NH. This contract position spans from August 2026 through June 2027, providing full-time hours between 32.5 and 37.5 per week. You'll collaborate with another SLP, serving a diverse K-12 caseload with a core group of approximately ten students. Many on the caseload present with Autism and require the use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices, offering a chance to make a significant impact in their daily communication and learning success.

Qualifications & Experience:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Active CCC-SLP certification. Experience within school-based settings, particularly with K-12 students. Demonstrated proficiency in supporting students with Autism. Comfort and skill in integrating and utilizing AAC devices to facilitate communication. Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy sessions, tailored to each student's needs. Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals, maintaining compliance with educational standards and district guidelines. Document progress, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and participate in meetings as required. Consult with teachers, staff, and families to ensure a comprehensive support system for students. Adapt and modify communication strategies to suit a variety of learning and developmental needs.
