As a School Speech Language Pathologist serving students near East Orange, NJ, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to foster communication skills and promote academic and social success. Qualifications Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in New Jersey Current New Jersey Department of Education certification Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) preferred Experience with pediatric populations, particularly in early childhood and elementary settings Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills Dedication to evidence-based, student-centered interventions Key Responsibilities Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for students with speech, language, or communication disorders Deliver direct therapy to students in individual and group settings within the school environment Document progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Collaborate with educators, families, and administrators to support student success Educate and consult with staff and caregivers on speech/language strategies and accommodations Participate in professional development to stay current with best practices Enjoy the advantages of a contract role with reliable scheduling—full-time (32.5 hours/week), Monday through Friday.
