Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract position supporting students across PreK through 12th grade while covering a medical leave for a valued school-based clinician. This in-person opportunity near Elizabeth, NJ offers you the chance to make a significant impact for approximately 40 students, including some nonverbal children who benefit from communication support. Your expertise with low-tech AAC devices will be especially valuable as you work alongside a diverse student caseload. For an added layer of support and smooth transition, there is an option to start early by shadowing the outgoing SLP before the leave officially begins. The duration of the assignment is set from October 1, 2026, through November 20, 2026, with potential for extension through the end of the semester.
Required Qualifications:
Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) Valid New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) certification Prior experience with school-based caseloads (PreK-12) Knowledge and familiarity with low-tech AAC devices preferred Dedication to in-person service; teletherapy not offered for this role
Key Responsibilities:
