This contract opportunity focuses on covering a medical leave for an SLP-CCC serving a diverse PreK-12th grade caseload of approximately 40 students, including some nonverbal learners. The position is set to begin on October 1, 2026, and is expected to last until November 20, 2026, with potential for extension through the end of the semester. An earlier start date is available for shadowing the outgoing SLP, ensuring a seamless transition and strong support as you settle into your assignment.

What Were Looking For:

Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA Valid New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) certification Previous experience working with PreK-12th grade students, preferably including nonverbal populations Comfort and skill supporting low-tech AAC device communication Strong collaborative skills and adaptability Commitment to providing in-person therapy (virtual/VOCO services are not available for this position)

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy to students in PreK-12th grade Conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and document progress Collaborate with educators, families, and other support staff Support communication growth, especially using low-tech AAC devices Participate actively in IEP meetings and related planning sessions This contract role offers you the chance to make meaningful connections, support a varied caseload, and cultivate your expertise in a collaborative educational community.
