Job Overview:
Join our dedicated medical team as a Speech Language Pathologist at the Brunswick campus providing comprehensive evaluation, treatment, and counseling to individuals with communication and swallowing disorders. This position delivers critical clinical interventions and family support to both adult and pediatric populations. This role plays a key part in optimizing patient care paths through strong interdisciplinary communication, advanced diagnostic skills, and dedicated staff collaboration.
Qualifications:
Required:
Master's degree in Speech Pathology required Certificate of Competency from the American Speech Language Hearing Association required NJ Speech Language Pathology licensure required Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association required Completion of Speech Pathology practicum hours required
Preferred:
Competence with MBSS preferred Pediatric feeding experience preferred Scheduling Requirements Part-Time (32 hours/week)
Essential Functions:
Responsible for the comprehensive evaluation, diagnostic assessment, and treatment of patients strictly within the outpatient setting. Provides patient and family intervention for adult and/or pediatric patients in the assessment and treatment of dysphagia, speech and language disorders, cognitive disorders, or voice disorders. Utilizes strong teamwork, communication, and documentation skills required for continuous intradisciplinary and interdisciplinary hospital communication. Prepares clear, technically sound, accurate, and comprehensive documentation to include findings, impressions, recommendations, progress, and other patient-related concerns. Compiles accurate statistics, insurance forms, and charge sheets as necessary to ensure appropriate operational reimbursement. Promotes inter-disciplinary consultation, completes continuing education for licensure and professional growth, and provides in-service presentations as appropriate. Carries out principles of positive guest relations and responds in a timely manner to professional concerns of a non-clinical nature. Provides peer review and supervises clinical fellows or student interns within the speech therapy department. Applies knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care by interpreting data relative to each patient's specific healthcare needs across the lifespan.
