Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist(SLP) to serve in a school-based setting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for supporting children's communication development and have comprehensive experience working with pediatric populations. As a Speech-Language Pathologist(SLP)in this role, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat students with speech and language impairments, collaborating closely with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to promote effective communication skills that enhance academic success and social integration. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations to identify communication disorders in students across various age groups. Develop and implement individualized speech-language therapy plans tailored to each student's specific needs, including early intervention strategies when appropriate. Provide direct therapy services to students with speech impairments, utilizing evidence-based techniques such as articulation therapy, language therapy, and fluency management. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to adapt communication strategies within classroom and home environments. Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment progress, and session notes within electronic medical record (EMR) or electronic health record (EHR) systems. Skills Extensive experience working with children in educational or clinical settings, particularly within pediatrics and early intervention programs. Proficiency in speech therapy techniques for diverse speech and language disorders, including articulation, phonology, fluency, voice, and receptive/expressive language impairments. Strong understanding of physiology and anatomy related to speech production and swallowing functions. Excellent communication skills for parent collaboration, team coordination, and delivering clear instructions to students. Ability to manage multiple caseloads efficiently while maintaining high standards of patient care within school environments.
