Job Description
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding school-based opportunity supporting elementary students in an engaging and nurturing environment. This opening is for three full-time Speech-Language Pathologists to cover maternity leaves for the Fall 2026 term at two dynamic elementary schools. With assignments beginning in September and lasting for approximately 12 weeks, you'll provide critical speech and language services to K-5th grade students, including preschoolers and those within high Autism populations. Your expertise and compassion will play a vital role in students' academic and social development during this pivotal time. Assignments are onsite, offering a collaborative and supportive team atmosphere. While Clinical Fellows are welcome with external supervision in place, priority consideration is given to candidates holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC). Supervision for CFs cannot be provided by the district. Applications from SLPAs will not be considered for this role.
Desired Background & Requirements:
Current NJ Speech-Language Pathology License Valid New Jersey Speech-Language Specialist (SLS) Certification Prior school-based SLP experience preferred Strong understanding and passion for working with Autism and preschool populations Ability to work onsite full-time for 12 weeks, 35+ hours/week CCC-SLP credentials preferred; Clinical Fellows require outside supervision Positive, flexible, and collaborative approachKey Responsibilities:
Provide direct therapy and diagnostic services to students K-5, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder and preschoolers Conduct assessments, develop IEPs, and monitor progress toward communication goals Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to maximize student outcomes Maintain thorough documentation and participate in IEP meetings If supporting young learners' communication needs energizes you, and you're ready for a meaningful contract role in September 2026, we encourage you to apply.
