Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact on students' lives as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting Pre-K through 12th grade across a diverse district. This full-time contract position offers a unique 4-day workweek from Monday to Thursday, giving you extended weekends to recharge. Enjoy a varied schedule as you provide both onsite and teletherapy services district-wide, working with a range of ages and communication needs in a collaborative educational environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

Active and current SLP licensure from the State of New Mexico Experience delivering speech-language therapy in schools, including teletherapy modalities Proven ability to work independently and manage a dynamic caseload Comfortable traveling between multiple school sites within the district Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (Master's preferred) Familiarity with IEP processes and educational compliance standards

Key Responsibilities:

Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students Pre-K through 12th grade Deliver both in-person and virtual (teletherapy) services Consult with teachers, staff, and parents to develop comprehensive care plans Maintain meticulous records and contribute to IEP meetings Adjust therapy approaches to suit a variety of learning styles and developmental levels Provide district-wide coverage, ensuring continuity of care as students move between sites
