Job Description

Full-Time Sunset Ridge Post Acute is seeking a compassionate, committed, and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our Skilled Nursing Facility therapy team. The SLP will provide high-quality speech therapy services to residents, focusing on communication, cognition, and swallowing to support safety, independence, and quality of life. Requirements & Qualifications Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in the state of employment Current BLS/CPR certification Minimum of 1 year of experience as an SLP within the past 5 years a plus Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or post-acute care setting preferred Knowledge of speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders common in geriatric populations Strong documentation, time-management, and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team Key Responsibilities Screen residents to determine the need for speech therapy services Perform comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans Establish measurable short- and long-term goals based on resident needs Provide skilled speech therapy interventions in accordance with established plans of care Treat residents with speech, language, cognitive, and dysphagia disorders Communicate evaluation results, treatment plans, and progress with residents, families, and caregivers Collaborate with nursing staff and the interdisciplinary care team Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards Ensure proper billing and reimbursement for therapy services Establish and coordinate resident therapy schedules with other team members Physical Requirements (With or without reasonable accommodation) Ability to see and hear sufficiently to perform essential job functions Ability to manage residents with cognitive impairments or behavioral challenges, including verbal outbursts or combative behavior We are an
