A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding, full-time contract opportunity in the Las Vegas area, providing specialized speech-language pathology services across 3-4 campuses. Support the communication development and academic success of students in K-12th grades, collaborating with dedicated professionals in a vibrant educational setting.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license or eligibility to obtain in Nevada Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, but candidates completing Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) are also encouraged Experience or strong interest in pediatrics and school-based therapy Commitment to providing high-quality, child-centered care for diverse learners Effective communication and organization skills for collaborating with students, families, and educational teams

Key Responsibilities:

Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders for K-12 students Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals tailored to student needs Document progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with school and state guidelines Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions Consult with teachers and staff to support classroom integration and generalization of skills Educate families and caregivers, providing strategies to reinforce progress beyond the school setting
