A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description

Preferred Qualifications:

Active Speech-Language Pathology license for Nevada (or eligibility for licensure) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required Prior experience in school-based settings is highly valued Strong communication and organizational skills Passion for working with children and adolescents Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for students Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals and therapy plans Deliver engaging, evidence-based therapy sessions to students individually and in groups Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation according to district guidelines Consult and collaborate with teachers, families, and related service professionals to support student success Participate in IEP meetings and team consultations as needed This contract assignment provides the opportunity to positively impact the lives of young learners, develop your clinical skills in a school setting, and enjoy the vibrant lifestyle of the North Las Vegas area.
