Job Description

Overview Connections Speech and Language Services is a therapist-owned speech-language pathology contract company that has been providing high-quality in-person and virtual therapy services throughout Northern Nevada for over 20 years. We are currently seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a one-day-per-week, IN-PERSON position (8 hours, including drive time) . In this important role, you will provide speech-language therapy services primarily at two nearby school sites serving students with higher support needs. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with diverse and complex communication needs. Your expertise will help students strengthen receptive and expressive language skills, improve comprehension and verbal expression, and develop functional communication skills that support greater independence and participation in their educational environment. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including comprehensive speech and language evaluations for individuals across age groups and disabilities. Develop, implement, and monitor Individual Education Plans Deliver engaging therapy sessions via in-person ensuring effective treatment outcomes. Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, educators, and healthcare professionals to support patient progress and facilitate consistent therapy approaches. Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, session notes, and treatment plans using EasyIEP. Requirements Valid licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in NV. Department of Education Licensure Certificate of Clinical Competence Proven experience working with children in early intervention programs; experience with school-aged populations is highly preferred. Demonstrated expertise in speech therapy, language therapy, and working with individuals with speech impairments or disabilities. Experience conducting comprehensive assessments and developing evidence-based IEPs for diverse student populations. Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to optimize student outcomes. Excellent communication skills for parent collaboration and team coordination; experience working with families of children with disabilities is advantageous.
Pay:
$70.00 - $75.00 per hour Expected hours: 8.0 per week
