Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding part-time opportunity supporting students in a vibrant K-8 school setting near the southwest metro area of Syracuse, NY! This contract Speech-Language Pathologist position is tailored for passionate professionals who thrive on making a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners. Working part-time, you'll engage with students from kindergarten through eighth grade, delivering essential SLP services across 21 sessions per week. Your schedule will be consistent, Monday through Thursday, from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm—allowing for excellent work-life balance and the flexibility to pursue other interests or commitments outside these hours.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in New York State Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred Prior experience working in school-based or pediatric settings, particularly K-8 populations Strong collaborative skills for working with teachers, administrators, and families Ability to create individualized treatment plans and demonstrate effective communication

Responsibilities:

Provide direct, evidence-based SLP services to a diverse caseload of K-8 students Develop individualized education program (IEP) goals and accurate progress reports Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support student growth and participation Engage in parent and teacher consultations as needed to foster student success Document session notes and adhere to compliance protocols and timelines This part-time schedule offers both stability and room to balance other priorities.
