May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Rehab is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide home-based therapy services in Long Island. This is a flexible opportunity for an SLP looking to add cases to their existing schedule while providing meaningful one-on-one care in the comfort of patients' homes. Job Responsibilities Provide skilled speech-language therapy based on each patient's individualized plan of care Implement appropriate speech, language, communication, cognitive, and swallowing interventions as clinically indicated Monitor patient progress and communicate changes as needed Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Communicate professionally with patients, families, caregivers, and the clinical team Follow all applicable clinical and documentation requirements Qualifications Active New York State Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license Strong clinical and interpersonal skills Reliable and able to maintain consistent scheduled visits Basic computer skills for electronic documentation Previous home-based therapy experience preferred, but not required
