A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Candidate will conduct testing and submit written evaluations, participate in CSE meetings by preparing updated progress reports and individualized goals, provide daily documentation of attendance and session notes, maintain Easy Trac and IEP notes. This position will be responsible for providing individual sessions focused on improving language skills, pragmatics, fluency and speech intelligibility related to academic and vocational needs. Due to the nature of the school, the Speech Pathologist has smaller caseloads compared to a typical school caseload.
Education/Experience:
Masters degree in
Speech and Hearing Pathology/ Communication Disorders Licensure/Certification:
New York State License in Speech Pathology ASHA certification The rate of pay for this role is $77,000 per year with competitive benefits.
