Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Two opportunities are available for Speech Language Pathologists to make a meaningful impact in school-based settings near Buffalo, NY. These contract positions offer varied experiences, from working with high school students in a life skills context to supporting learners in middle school environments.
Open Roles:
One full-time SLP will divide their week between a high school life skills program (approximately 70%) and a nearby non-public school (approximately 30%). The school day runs from 7:30am to 2:45pm and consists of 7-8 daily 30-minute sessions with scheduled lunch and planning periods. The assignment is anticipated from late October through the end of January 2027. Another full-time SLP role is based entirely in a middle school, with similar session structure and built-in lunch and planning time. The workday starts at 8:30am and ends at 3:30pm. This opportunity begins in early November and extends through January's end.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology Valid state SLP licensure (or eligibility) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates considered Experience or strong interest in school-based practice, particularly with life skills or middle school populations Ability to effectively manage a caseload and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech-language therapy to students according to IEP goals Conduct assessments, evaluations, and progress monitoring Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student achievement Maintain thorough documentation and participate in IEP meetings Deliver engaging, individualized sessions tailored to each student's needs These positions offer rewarding opportunities to support students' communication growth within supportive educational settings.
