Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a School Speech-Language Pathologist, working with K-12 students for the full academic year. This position offers the chance to help students achieve their communication goals in a supportive educational setting. Located near Dunkirk, NY, you'll provide 40 engaging, 30-minute sessions weekly during the school year, Monday through Friday from 7:45 AM to 3:00 PM, spanning from September 8, 2026, to June 24, 2027.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders Current state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred Previous experience in a school-based setting working with K-12 students is advantageous Strong organizational skills and an ability to manage a diverse caseload Excellent interpersonal communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

Provide speech and language therapy services to students across K-12 grade levels Assess and develop individualized treatment plans targeting students' speech, language, and communication needs Conduct 40 therapy sessions per week (30 minutes each) Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to monitor progress and support academic success Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and documentation as required by the school and district policies Contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and assist in the creation and updating of student goals Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages student growth and confidence This extended school-year contract is perfect for professionals eager to make a lasting difference in students' lives.
