Job Description

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist position is available in Fairport, NY, supporting students from kindergarten through age 21. This contract role starts on May 18 and runs through the end of the school year, with the possibility of renewal. The caseload will consist of 20-25 students with high needs, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and multiple cognitive and physical disabilities. Experience working with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices is essential for this role.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting speech and language assessments for students with diverse and complex needs. Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans. Collaborating with educators, therapists, and families to support student communication goals. Utilizing AAC devices effectively to enhance communication. Providing direct therapy and progress monitoring.
Qualifications and desired experience:
Valid SLP certification with CCC credential preferred. Demonstrated expertise working with high-needs populations, particularly students with ASD and multiple disabilities. Strong knowledge of AAC devices and their application in therapeutic settings. Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Commitment to student-centered care in an onsite environment. This full-time, onsite role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a supportive school setting. The position spans the remainder of the school year, allowing for continuity of care and the potential for contract renewal.
