Position Purpose:
Under the general supervision of special education and building administration, provide the speech and language services related to the needs of children.
Responsibilities:
Provide individual speech and language evaluations/intervention Assist classroom teachers in developing instructional techniques in the areas of speech and language development. Communicate with administrators, teachers, parents, and students regarding difficult speech and language problems. Maintain communication with speech and hearing agencies and participating schools in areas of diagnosis and remediation of speech, hearing, and language problems. Perform such other professional duties as may be assigned by the Special Education Department.
Work Schedule:
Standard teacher work schedule as set forth in the agreement between the Fairport Educators Association and the Fairport Central School District.
Certification:
New York State license as a Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) (required).
Education:
Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology (required).
Experience:
Successful prior experience preferred.
Salary:
