Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract role providing speech-language pathology services in a school setting near Herkimer, NY. This full-time, 35-hour-per-week position is a Fall FMLA vacancy, offering the chance to make a meaningful difference for students with a mixed caseload.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Valid state SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred Previous experience serving school-aged children Effective communication, collaboration, and documentation skills Ability to adapt therapy approaches to individual student needs

Responsibilities:

Deliver direct speech therapy services based on students' individualized education plans (IEPs) Conduct assessments to determine speech, language, and communication needs Develop and update therapy goals and strategies tailored to each student Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary team members to support student progress Document services, maintain detailed records, and participate in IEP meetings as required Support inclusive learning environments and foster student confidence in communication
