Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the 2025-2026 school year in a K-12 school setting located in Jordan, NY. This contract position primarily focuses on supporting elementary students, with some involvement with high school students. The role runs from September through June, aligning with the academic calendar. In this position, you will manage a caseload of approximately 28 students, providing comprehensive assessment and individualized therapy to support speech and language development. Collaboration with educators, families, and school staff is key to creating an inclusive learning environment that fosters student success.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed speech and language assessments and design tailored therapy plans Deliver direct therapy services responding to each student's unique needs Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement necessary accommodations and modifications Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as appropriate Actively participate in IEP meetings, contributing to goal development and planning Provide support and guidance to parents and caregivers to encourage progress at home
Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology Valid state SLP license or eligibility to obtain licensure in New York Experience working with school-aged children preferred Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach Familiarity with IEP processes and educational laws
