Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Travel A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the 2025-2026 school year in a K-12 setting located in Jordan, NY. This position primarily serves elementary students, with some high school students included, offering a dynamic caseload of approximately 28 students each requiring individualized support. The role is travel-based, providing the experience of working within a vibrant Upstate New York community from September through June.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments and develop individualized therapy plans. Deliver direct therapy services tailored to each student's unique needs. Collaborate with educators and school staff to implement appropriate accommodations and modifications. Monitor and track student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary. Actively participate in IEP meetings, contributing to goal setting and educational planning. Provide guidance and support to parents and caregivers to foster student success.
Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Valid state SLP license or eligibility to obtain one. Experience working with school-aged children is preferred. Strong communication and collaborative skills for working with educators and families. Knowledge of IEP processes and educational laws related to special education services.
