A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description

Speech Therapist needed for a school in the Buffalo area. CF's welcome. If you are looking for more hours than the school, we also have EI, CPSE and adult therapy opportunities available. Please reply with your resume. Diversified Rehabilitation is actively seeking a Speech-Language Pathologists (licensed or CF's to work full or part time. This positions offer the opportunity to perform work in one or multiple settings ranging from Homecare, Schools, EI, CPSE and/or Outpatient in one of our beautiful offices. Diversified provides a unique opportunity that allows you to gain experience in multiple areas of Speech Pathology and to work with clients ranging from birth through Geriatric. Duties Include (but are not limited to): Evaluate Clients conditions for swallowing or cognitive deficits Help Clients in their goals to improve Cognition or Swallowing Provide Education for Clients and Caregivers Help Clients through their tasks and monitor their performance Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements Contributes to team
Perform Daily Documentation Perform Daily Billing Requirements Include:
Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathologist program Current New York State SLP License or Limited License (we can help you to obtain this) Ability to organize and carry out responsibilities efficiently and effectively Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately in a wide variety of circumstances, both verbally and in writing Call or email for more details.

$28.00 - $38.00 per hour
