Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

(SLP) Speech Language Pathologist Per-diem Join Our Team at Northeast Center for Rehabilitation and Brain Injury! As a Speech Language Pathologist-Per Diem, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of healthcare professionals in a state-of-the-art facility. Our mission is to

Responsibilities:
Demonstrate competence in Speech Language Pathology evaluation, goal setting, treatment, and EMR documentation Chart appropriately and timely Effective communication skills for working with patients, families, and caregivers Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information Maintain an excellent working relationship with facility staff members Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the facility Read, write, speak, and understand the English language Provide dependable, regular per diem coverage
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited program in Speech Language Pathology 1 year of experience in a therapist capacity in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or other related medical facility preferred Possess a current, unencumbered, NYS license and maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment

Our 39-acre rural campus in Mid-Hudson Valley features shops, a library, music studio, post office, cafe, clubhouse, lounge, art studio, hair salon, gym, and a park with walking/jogging path. We are committed to promoting re-acquisition of cognitive, physical, and social skills in a naturalistic setting.
