A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Roosevelt Children's Center has a long history of providing extraordinary dedication and expertise guiding healthy development for children birth to five years old in a variety of home, community and center based options. Roosevelt Children's Center serves families and children in Wayne, Ontario, Monroe, Cayuga, Seneca and Yates Counties.
Work Schedule:
Full time ( 40 hours/week ), Monday through Friday. 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. School year and 6 week summer program. A Day in the Life of a Speech Language Pathologist at
Roosevelt Children's Center:
As a Speech Language Pathologist at The Arc Wayne in Newark, NY you will be an important team member providing speech language services children ( Pediatric Speech Language ). Complete speech/language testing and reports for each student in the caseload, as determined by the student's
IFSP/IEP
Plan and implement speech/language programs for each child in your caseload Work collaboratively with the classroom team to develop and implement engaging and supportive classroom curriculum Participate in weekly team meetings Complete hearing screenings, testing, and tympanometry on all students in your caseload Document and complete paperwork for each child in your caseload.
Who We Are Looking For:
You are extremely well organized, great communication and you enjoy working with a team. You have a Masters in Communication Disorders/ Speech Language Pathology. You have a current New York State License and registration as a Speech Language Pathologist. You have current Valid New York State Driver License that meets Agency Driver Standards.
