Salary Range:

HERE Job Summary :
The Assistive Technology Specialist will leverage their expertise in speech therapy to assess, recommend, and implement assistive technology solutions that support communication and daily living activities for individuals with disabilities. This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the effective integration of technology into therapeutic practices.
Key Responsibilities :
Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the assistive technology needs of students with communication disorders. Develop and implement individualized assistive technology plans tailored to each student's needs. Provide training and support to staff, families, and caregivers on the use of assistive technology devices and software. Collaborate with speech therapists, occupational therapists, educators, and other professionals to integrate assistive technology into educational programs. Stay current with advancements in assistive technology and speech therapy practices. Document student progress and maintain accurate records of assessments, plans, and interventions. Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the continuous improvement of assistive technology services.

Qualifications:
Master s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field. Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) preferred. Speech Language Therapist or other background in communication skills preferred. Experience in assessing and implementing assistive technology solutions for individuals with communication disorders. Strong knowledge of assistive technology devices, software, and applications. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment. Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry trends.
