A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Responsibilities:

Provide Speech Therapy services to children in a variety of settings in the Early Intervention program which may include the home or center. Performs evaluations and assessments and tracks child progress. Delivers Speech Therapy services as mandated in the IFSP. Collaborate with other families, caregivers, educators, and other professionals to support the goals of each child. Complete documentation and progress notes.

Qualifications:

Must possess a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders or similarly titled area that is consistent and acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Must possess or be eligible for a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or be eligible to participate as an ASHA Clinical Fellow, or ASHA clinical fellowship (CF status). Must be licensed, certified or credentialed, as required in the state of practice. DOH approval is required.

Posted Salary Range:

USD $70.00 - USD $90.00/Hr.
