Spanish-Bilingual Speech-Language Evaluator Hempstead, Nassau County & Additional Long Island Locations In-District & Home-Based Evaluations | 1099 Independent Contractor Blue Sea Educational Consulting is actively seeking a Spanish-speaking Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) to conduct comprehensive bilingual speech and language evaluations. We have an immediate need in the Patchogue area , with additional opportunities available in other locations throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties. Evaluations may be completed within school districts or in students' homes. Clinicians may accept assignments based on their availability, preferred locations, and travel radius. Compensation & Perks Flat rate of $225-$250 per completed evaluation , based on experience and credentials Flexible, per diem evaluation opportunities Immediate need in Hempstead, with opportunities available in other areas In-district and home-based evaluations Ability to select evaluations based on your availability and preferred locations Free ASHA CEUs and ongoing professional development opportunities Paperless documentation system Administrative support with onboarding, scheduling, billing, and case coordination Referral bonus program What You'll Do Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations in both English and Spanish Administer and interpret standardized and non-standardized assessments Evaluate students' receptive, expressive, pragmatic, articulation, phonological, and related communication skills, as appropriate Differentiate between a communication disorder and language differences associated with bilingual or multilingual development Gather and review relevant educational, developmental, linguistic, and family history Complete clear, thorough, and timely evaluation reports in accordance with district and New York State requirements Develop appropriate recommendations regarding eligibility, services, goals, and accommodations Collaborate with Spanish-speaking families, teachers, related-service providers, and educational teams Participate in CSE meetings or case consultations when requested Provide culturally and linguistically responsive evaluation services Requirements Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology Current New York State Speech-Language Pathologist license ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) TSSLD required Professional fluency in English and Spanish required Previous experience conducting bilingual speech and language evaluations strongly preferred Strong clinical writing, assessment, organization, and time-management skills Ability to complete accurate evaluation reports within required timelines Reliable transportation for in-district and home-based evaluations Schedule Options Part-time or per diem opportunities Flexible scheduling based on available evaluations Ability to accept assignments that align with your schedule and preferred travel area Why Blue Sea?
