Job Description

Make a meaningful impact supporting students success by providing speech-language services in educational settings. Two contract opportunities are now available for skilled Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP-CCC) to provide essential support at elementary and junior/senior high school levels. These positions are instrumental in nurturing growth and communication for students with unique needs. Role A is based at Wheatland-Chili TJ Connor Elementary and focuses on serving elementary-aged students on the autism spectrum. Role B is located at Wheatland-Chili Jr/Sr High, working with high school students who have intellectual disabilities. Both roles are full-time, Monday through Friday, with start dates as soon as possible and ongoing contracts until internal hires are made.
Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid SLP-CCC certification and eligibility for New York licensure. Background in school-based speech therapy, especially with ASD and intellectual disabilities. Strong communication and collaboration skills with teams and families. Experience with IEP development and data-driven therapeutic interventions. Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive environment for learners.
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy services. Assess and evaluate students needs to develop appropriate intervention plans. Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and other professionals to support student progress. Provide consultation and guidance to families and staff regarding communication development. Maintain detailed records and contribute to IEP meetings as required.
