Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference supporting K-6 students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist in a school-based setting for the 2026-2027 academic year. This position provides a unique opportunity to deliver direct services—in-person—for two days per week (approximately 14 hours), focusing primarily on speech needs across elementary grade levels. The school is eager to transition from virtual services to an engaging, on-site presence, and is looking for a dedicated professional ready for a consistent, impactful role throughout the full school year (September-June).
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Current SLP-CCC certification New York State SLP licensure (or eligibility) Relevant school-based SLP experience, especially with elementary students (K-6th) Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities Reliable transportation and willingness to commute, given the rural location
Core Responsibilities:
Provide evidence-based therapy addressing a variety of speech and language needs Evaluate, assess, and document student progress Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and participate in team meetings Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to support students' success Ensure compliance with all school, state, and federal guidelines
