Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Waverly, NY, serving the Western Region including Hornell and Bath school districts. This contract position focuses primarily on PreK and Elementary caseloads, offering a dynamic setting to apply specialized skills in a school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech and language therapy to students with communication disorders within PreK and elementary grades. Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs). Conduct assessments to identify student needs and monitor progress. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines. Ensure all interventions follow current best practices and ethical standards in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active New York State SLP license. Certification of TSSLD (Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities). Valid SLP-CCC credential preferred. Previous experience working with PreK and elementary populations in school settings. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and school personnel.

Onsite position based in Western Region, covering Hornell School District and Bath School District, NY.
