Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract To Hire A rewarding opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the 2026-27 school year in Okemah, OK, located just one hour east of Oklahoma City. This role is ideal for both experienced SLPs with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) and Clinical Fellowship (CF) candidates seeking to advance their careers in an educational setting. This position is a contract-to-hire opportunity, providing a pathway to long-term employment.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Speech-Language Pathologist licensure. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility as a Clinical Fellow (CF). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience working with school-aged children is preferred. Ability to design and implement individualized therapy plans. Collaborative mindset to work closely with educators and support staff.
Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and evaluations to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs. Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students. Monitor and document student progress regularly. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student success. Stay current with best practices and maintain compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
Location:
Okemah, Oklahoma, situated approximately one hour east of Oklahoma City. This small-town location provides a close-knit community environment and a supportive work atmosphere.
