Central Oregon Speech and Language is seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist to provide services to students at local private schools (Bend, OR) during the 2026-2027 school year. This is an ideal position for an SLP looking for a flexible, school-day schedule without the demands of a traditional full-time school position or regular after-school private-practice hours. The Position The SLP will provide primarily 30-minute individual speech and language therapy sessions to students on-site at established private-school locations in Bend. The position currently includes approximately 20-24 30-minute treatment sessions per week during full school weeks , with reduced hours during school breaks and no expectation of maintaining a traditional 52-week schedule. Services occur during school hours. No regular evening or after-school availability is required. The clinician will inherit an established caseload and established relationships with participating schools. Optional Additional Clinic Hours For a clinician interested in additional income or hours, optional clinic-based afternoon hours may be available , particularly from approximately January through March 2027 while another clinician is on maternity leave. These additional hours are not required as part of the school-based position. They may be a good fit for an SLP who wants the flexibility of a school-year role but would also like the option to temporarily increase weekly income. Depending on clinic needs and clinician interest, there may also be opportunities for occasional additional clinic-based work outside of this period. Responsibilities Provide individual speech and language therapy to school-aged children Complete documentation and maintain appropriate treatment records Communicate with families, teachers, and school staff as appropriate Coordinate student schedules with participating schools Complete speech/language evaluations as needed Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation Collaborate with Central Oregon Speech and Language when clinical or administrative support is needed Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Current Oregon SLP license or eligibility for Oregon licensure ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence preferred, but not required Pediatric speech and language experience preferred Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with families and school staff Reliable, organized, and comfortable managing a largely independent caseload Compensation $47-50 per treatment session Additional compensation is available for evaluations, meetings, and other approved responsibilities. A school-year retention bonus may also be available for clinicians who commit to and complete the agreed-upon school-year schedule. Mileage between job sites is reimbursed. Health Insurance Reimbursement and other benefits may be available based on monthly visit volume. Schedule Approximately 20-24 visits per full school week , primarily during regular school hours. The exact schedule can be structured around school availability and clinician preference. No regular after-school or evening hours are required for the school position.
