Ideal candidates bring experience or interest in various school-based settings and a commitment to facilitating communication growth in children and adolescents.
Qualifications and Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Valid state licensure or eligibility in Speech-Language Pathology Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) strongly preferred; Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates encouraged to apply Previous experience working with school-aged children and pediatric populations Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Knowledge of IEP processes, current therapy techniques, and best practices for school-based interventions
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students Design and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student's needs Develop and participate in IEP meetings, providing input and status updates for team planning Document progress, maintain thorough records, and communicate with families and staff Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions within the school environment Engage in professional development to stay updated on best practices and compliance requirements
