Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a contract position located in Central Point, OR, supporting district-wide site-based programs known as
MAPS PLUS.
This role serves students across multiple grade levels, including elementary, middle, and high school, providing targeted speech and language interventions within specialized classroom settings.Responsibilities include:
Conducting speech and language assessments in accordance with district guidelines Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for students with speech and language impairments Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress Documenting student progress and maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations Participating in team meetings related to theMAPS PLUS
programs Serving 3 elementary classes, 1 middle school class, and 1 high school class as part of the district's specialized programs Desired qualifications and experience: Valid SLP certification or license eligible for practice in Oregon Experience working with school-aged students across multiple grade levels Familiarity with individualized education programs (IEPs) and special education regulations Strong communication and collaboration skills within an educational setting Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team supporting students with diverse needsLocation:
