A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description

Step into a rewarding opportunity where your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist helps transform the lives of students across both high school and elementary settings. This contract role spans the academic year, from early September to mid-June, and is designed for a dedicated SLP who thrives in dynamic, supportive environments. Spend half of your workweek at a specialized campus focused on special education, and the other half supporting teens as they develop essential social skills at another nearby campus. Youll manage a caseload of approximately 33 students, providing direct support to those in life skills programs. While prior experience in feeding, swallowing safety, or augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) is preferred, training can be provided for the right candidate eager to build these competencies.

What Youll Bring:

Current SLP licensure with CCC credentials Experience working in school-based settings Comfort or willingness to learn about feeding, swallowing, and AAC strategies Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams Self-motivation and the confidence to work independently with periodic onsite and virtual support

Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality speech and language therapy to students from elementary through high school Support students social communication skills and life skills development Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to collaborative planning Document progress and maintain compliance with school and district protocols Engage in targeted professional development as needed Perks for
