Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A dynamic opportunity is available for two Oregon Licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to join a dedicated educational team in Gresham, OR. These roles offer full-time employment (1.0 FTE) Monday through Friday, eight hours daily with an unpaid lunch break. One position focuses solely on a single school site, while the other involves multiple locations within Multnomah County, with flexible part-time options considered for candidates interested in less than full-time hours.

Key Responsibilities:
Assess and provide direct instruction to language-impaired students. Implement, oversee, and customize augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems tailored to each student's unique needs. Collaborate with educators and multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized education programs (IEPs). Screen and assess students' speech, language, and hearing levels; determine service needs accordingly. Offer guidance, training, and coaching to staff and teachers on AAC integration. Document student progress, maintain records, and manage Medicaid billing related to speech and language services. Serve as a liaison among parents, professionals, and agencies to support student success. Supervise Speech Language Pathology Assistant staff. Participate in meetings and maintain compliance with district policies and procedures.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Oregon Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist certification (SLP-CCC and/or SLP-School license preferred). Experience with AAC systems and speech-language evaluation and therapy. Strong communication skills fostering collaboration and inclusivity. Commitment to equity, student-focused vision, and professionalism. Ability to maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.
