Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role supporting young learners and their families with this contract opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the Roseburg, OR area. This assignment offers a unique blend of professional growth and meaningful impact, as you cover two FMLA leaves in early intervention and early childhood special education (ECSE) settings. The position spans from late July 2026 through late January 2027, with a commitment of 40 hours per week.
Highlights of Your Responsibilities:
Serve as the lead SLP for two consecutive assignments: Early Intervention (July-October): Deliver services primarily in home environments, collaborating closely with another experienced therapist. ECSE (November-January): Support children in learning centers predominantly in Roseburg and occasionally throughout Douglas County. Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for young children, focusing on communication and language development. Collaborate with families, teachers, and fellow professionals to ensure continuity and effectiveness of care. Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in team meetings to support each child's success. Adapt your interventions to home- and center-based settings for comprehensive support.
What We're Looking For:
Valid state licensure as an
SLP. ASHA
certification (CCC-SLP) preferred, though strong CFY candidates may be considered. Previous experience in early childhood or school-based settings is highly valued. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective teamwork and family collaboration. Flexibility to travel to various locations in and around Roseburg and Douglas County.
