9505721-97051 Job Description Make a difference in elementary education by supporting students communication needs through your expertise in speech language pathology. A full-time contract opportunity is available for the 2026-2027 academic year, serving grades K-5 in a dynamic school setting near Saint Helens, OR. Youll have the benefit of working with a dedicated group of 80-85 students and receive valuable support from a full-time Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).
What Youll Do:
Provide direct speech and language therapy services to elementary-aged students in both a main campus and a nearby charter school. Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to help identify students needs. Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), ensuring alignment with student goals and state requirements. Lead and facilitate IEP meetings, collaborating with parents, teachers, and interdisciplinary teams to foster student growth. Supervise and mentor the on-site SLPA to optimize workflow and service delivery. Maintain thorough case documentation and progress reports, contributing to ongoing compliance and communication with staff and families.
Desired Qualifications:
Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders. Current SLP-CCC certification (Certificate of Clinical Competence). Active state licensure or eligibility in Oregon. Previous experience working with K-5 students in school-based settings preferred. Strong capacity for teamwork, flexibility, and communication. Ability to manage caseloads across different school environments.
