A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a lasting impact in elementary education as a Speech-Language Pathologist on a dedicated team for the upcoming academic year. This contract opportunity begins August 17, 2026, and runs through June 11, 2027. You'll have the chance to collaborate with educators and families, support a caseload of 50 elementary students, and contribute to a supportive, student-focused environment. With three positions available, this is a fantastic opportunity for experienced clinicians and recent graduates alike. Clinical fellows are encouraged to apply and will receive supervision and mentorship.

Qualifications & Experience:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) Valid state SLP licensure, or eligibility to obtain before start date Strong understanding of communication disorders in school-aged children Excellent organizational and documentation skills for managing a caseload Effective collaboration and communication abilities with students, families, and staff New graduates welcome; CFs will be provided with mentorship and supervision

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct and consultative speech and language services to elementary students Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans aligned with IEPs Maintain regular documentation of student progress and outcomes Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support communication goals Contribute to multidisciplinary teams and attend team or IEP meetings as needed Create an engaging, supportive environment that fosters student growth This is a full-time (40 hours/week) contract role for the entire school year.
