Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Take the next step in your career by supporting preschool-aged children as a Speech-Language Pathologist. This full-time contract position focuses on working with 3- to 5-year-olds across select locations in Salem, Polk County, and Yamhill County. The assignment runs from August 21, 2026, through June 9, 2027, covering a 190-day school-based calendar. You'll collaborate closely with educators and families to nurture each child's communication skills and overall development.
Skills and Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders Valid SLP-CCC or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship (CFY) considered State licensure (or ability to obtain prior to start) Experience in pediatric or school settings highly valued Familiarity with teletherapy platforms is beneficial SLPA experience is an asset but not required Strong communication, organization, and documentation abilities
Core Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech and language therapy to preschool students (3-5 years old) Conduct assessments and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement IEPs Deliver both in-person and teletherapy services as needed Consult with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student progress Monitor, record, and report on the outcomes of therapy sessions and student development Participate in professional development to support exceptional service delivery This rewarding school-based contract is designed for those passionate about making a difference in early childhood education.
