A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description

Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a meaningful impact supporting students in a vibrant K-12 setting as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist working with schools across the district. This is an in-person opportunity spanning the academic year from August 18, 2026, through May 27, 2027, with a schedule of 35 hours each week. Your work will reach students across all grade levels, empowering them to reach their communication goals and enhancing their school experience.

What We're Looking For:

Active Pennsylvania Speech-Language Pathology Certification Pennsylvania Teaching Certification (please include with your resume) Experience providing SLP services in educational settings (preferred) Familiarity with IEP development and progress monitoring Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and support staff

Delivering speech-language therapy services to K-12 students throughout the district Evaluating students and developing individualized treatment plans Conducting assessments and documenting progress toward IEP goals Consulting with teachers and families to support student success Participating in IEP meetings and collaborating on multidisciplinary teams Maintaining up-to-date documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines Stepping into this district-wide position is an opportunity to impact diverse learners while working alongside passionate education professionals.
