School Speech Language Pathologist - Pittsburgh, PA Sunbelt Staffing - 3.8 Pittsburgh, PA Job Details Part-time | Contract 15 hours ago Qualifications Speech-Language Pathology License Full Job Description Make an impact supporting students across K-12th grade as a Speech-Language Pathologist, stepping in to provide vital coverage for an anticipated 8-week maternity leave. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to work with a diverse student population, helping them develop essential communication skills and thrive academically and socially. The role is part-time, with a schedule of three days per week, beginning next week and continuing through the start of November. Ideal candidates will bring expertise and compassion, ensuring continuity of care and supporting progress toward each student's individualized goals.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active and valid Pennsylvania SLP license is required Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred Prior experience working within a school setting, especially with K-12th grade students Strong clinical knowledge with documentation and IEP development Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, collaborating seamlessly with educators, families, and support staff
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech-language therapy to students in accordance with IEPs and district/state standards Conduct assessments and re-evaluations as needed during the leave period Develop, maintain, and update documentation in a thorough and timely manner Collaborate closely with classroom teachers and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress Communicate with families regarding students' needs, progress, and strategies for support Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment for students with a variety of communication needs This contract assignment offers a meaningful opportunity to make a difference throughout the school community while maintaining a consistent weekly schedule.
