9605037-15202 Job Description Experience a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a school-based environment as a Speech-Language Pathologist. This temporary, onsite contract position is designed to cover a leave and runs from August through November, offering you the chance to support students communication skills during a crucial part of their academic year. In this vital role, you'll work closely with students, faculty, and families to foster language and communication development. The position is located near Pittsburgh, PA, providing a vibrant community setting in which to practice your expertise and passion.
Qualifications & Background:
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current or eligible Pennsylvania SLP license Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred Prior experience in a school-based SLP position strongly desired Ability to develop and implement IEPs, monitor student progress, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech and language therapy services according to students IEPs Complete assessments, screenings, and re-evaluations as needed Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary consultations Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with school and state regulations Provide consultation and support to teachers and families to maximize students success Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment Take on an essential, short-term assignment while advancing your professional experience and making a positive difference in students' lives.
