Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract An exciting contract opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist near Battle Creek, MI. This full-time position runs from August 24, 2026, to June 10, 2027, with the possibility of part-time or hybrid scheduling (predominantly onsite; fully remote options are not offered). Assignments will primarily support PreK and Kindergarten students, with final placements to be confirmed by August 22, 2026.

Desired Qualifications:

Current Michigan Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license; please include a screenshot of your active license when submitting your application. Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required. Prior experience delivering speech services in a school setting, especially with early learners, is highly valued. Solid understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and compliance with special education laws. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective consultation with families, teachers, and support staff. Ability to provide engaging, evidence-based therapy for diverse student needs.

Responsibilities:

Deliver direct speech-language therapy to PreK and Kindergarten students onsite, Monday through Friday (up to 40 hours per week, flexible for part time). Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. Document student progress and contribute to IEP meetings and evaluations. Consult with staff and families to support students' communication goals in classroom and home environments. Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal regulations.
