helping every child play, learn, grow, and belong. Chosen Hopes is launching as a multidisciplinary pediatric therapy organization with services including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and additional pediatric services as the organization grows. We are seeking a Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to become one of the founding members of our Speech Therapy program. About the Role This is an opportunity for an SLP who wants more than simply stepping into an established caseload. As one of our first Speech-Language Pathologists, you will provide direct clinical services while helping establish a high-quality, family-centered Speech Therapy program. Services will initially be provided primarily in children's homes and community settings, with future opportunities to provide services within Chosen Hopes pediatric therapy centers as the organization expands. The position offers hybrid flexibility , with documentation, care coordination, meetings, and other appropriate responsibilities completed remotely when permitted.
Responsibilities The Speech-Language Pathologist will:
Conduct comprehensive speech, language, communication, and related evaluations Develop individualized plans of care based on evaluation findings, family priorities, and clinical needs Provide evidence-based pediatric speech and language therapy Establish measurable treatment goals and monitor progress Complete evaluations, progress reports, treatment notes, and other required documentation Provide caregiver education and home-program recommendations Collaborate with families, BCBAs, OTs, physicians, educators, and other members of the child's care team Participate in interdisciplinary case consultation when appropriate Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Complete authorization and payer-related clinical documentation as required Maintain compliance with professional standards, payer requirements, Chosen Hopes policies, and applicable state and federal requirements Participate in clinical meetings, program development, and quality-improvement activities Assist with development of Speech Therapy policies, workflows, documentation standards, and clinical resources Provide mentorship or supervision to future Speech Therapy team members when appropriately qualified
Qualifications Required:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders Current South Carolina Speech-Language Pathologist license or eligibility to obtain licensure before providing services Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP), when applicable to the candidate's professional status and role Experience or strong interest in pediatric Speech-Language Pathology Knowledge of pediatric speech, language, communication, and developmental needs Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills Reliable transportation for in-person services Ability to successfully complete required background checks and onboarding requirements Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it before independent client assignment Experience working with children with autism, developmental disabilities, AAC needs, feeding challenges, or other pediatric populations is highly valued. Compensation & Benefits $90,000-$100,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Launch & Growth Period Chosen Hopes Pediatric Therapy is currently in its pre-launch and payer credentialing phase . The selected SLP's full-time start date will be coordinated with payer credentialing and development of the initial Speech Therapy caseload. For candidates interested in becoming involved earlier, a part-time transition may be available before the full-time start date. As a founding therapist, the selected SLP will also have an opportunity to contribute to the development of the Speech Therapy program as Chosen Hopes grows. Schedule Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week. Scheduling will be developed around client needs, clinical responsibilities, geographic considerations, and operational requirements. Work Location Hybrid — Columbia, South Carolina and surrounding service areas Services will initially be primarily in-home/community-based, with remote administrative and clinical responsibilities where appropriate and permitted.
