Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of students by providing vital speech-language services in a supportive school environment. This contract opportunity is based in a thriving district serving students from early childhood through eighth grade. The assignment runs from mid-August through late May, offering a rewarding school-year schedule. You'll join a dedicated team, collaborating with another SLP to manage a caseload of around 70 students, allowing for meaningful, focused support.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech-Language Pathologist endorsement from IDFPR Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Experience in school-based settings serving EC-8th grade populations preferred Ability to provide direct, on-site services—no remote work permitted Strong organizational and communication skills Each application must include a current ISBE number for consideration
Essential Responsibilities:
Deliver speech-language therapy to students in accordance with IEPs and district guidelines Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, supporting student evaluations and progress monitoring Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to optimize student outcomes Complete required documentation and progress reports accurately and in a timely manner Uphold union rules and school district policies throughout the assignment This contract offers a structured school schedule with approximately 33.75 hours per week, and your caseload will be thoughtfully divided to allow a balanced workload among SLP team members. Please be aware that, per district guidelines, the interview process may require some flexibility, with interviews potentially starting in May.
