9676484-35023 Job Description An exciting contract opportunity is available for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to provide services in a school-based setting near Birmingham, Alabama. This assignment starts as soon as possible and continues through June 10, offering impactful work supporting students with disabilities. Caseloads and locations will be determined according to current needs throughout the district.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Valid Professional Educator Certification Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders from an accredited institution Demonstrated knowledge of laws and regulations relevant to special education and services for children with disabilities Solid understanding of pediatric and adolescent developmentboth cognitive and physicalas well as diagnostic tools used for assessing students with special needs Familiarity with terminology related to physical and learning disabilities Strong ability to compile and analyze data and interpret laws, policies, and regulations Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Exceptional oral and written communication abilities ASHA Certification and ABSESPA Licensure preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver tailored speech and language therapy in compliance with IEPs and applicable regulations Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for student progress and compliance Work collaboratively with educational teams and families to help students reach communication and academic goals Adapt approaches for a range of disabilities and learning needs Participate in meetings and professional development as needed This on-site role (remote work is not available) offers a supportive environment where your expertise will directly impact students growth and success.
