Step into a rewarding school-based contract opportunity near Manchester, CT, supporting students with speech and language needs. This position offers consistent full-time hours (35 per week, 8:15am to 3:45pm with a 30-minute unpaid break) and will run from as soon as possible through the end of the current school year. You'll serve a caseload of approximately 40-45 students, primarily with mild to moderate disabilities such as language learning differences, speech and fluency issues, and expressive language weaknesseswith a few students presenting with more significant needs. Materials and a laptop will be provided for your clinical work.
Key Qualifications:
Active Speech-Language Pathology license in the state of Connecticut Open to SLP-CCC and SLP-CFY candidates; supervision is available for CFYs Experience or interest in working in a school setting with children aged K-12 Ability to provide direct therapy, evaluations, and participate in PPT meetings Flexible regarding traditional in-person or hybrid work models
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to students on your caseload Conduct comprehensive evaluations and testing, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams as needed Participate in PPT (Planning and Placement Team) meetings and contribute to IEP development Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines Communicate with families and staff to support student progress
