Necessary skills and qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Speech-Language Pathology ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; Clinical Fellow (CFY) candidates are encouraged to apply Previous experience in a school setting is an asset, but not required Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills Ability to develop individualized treatment plans and adapt therapy to meet varied needs Key responsibilities: Conduct screenings, assessments, and evaluations for students with communication challenges Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the educational team Provide both group and one-on-one therapy sessions tailored to student needs Maintain accurate records of student progress, therapy notes, and required documentation Consult regularly with teachers, administrators, and families to maximize student support Participate in team meetings and professional development as appropriate Foster an inclusive, positive environment where every student can thrive This role offers a rewarding experience to gain or expand expertise within school-based speech therapy.
